Four years and an extra $70 million in the making, and here it is. The trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League has landed.

Rumored to be over four hours long, it’s safe to assume that at least two hours of that must be stuff we haven’t seen before. It’s hard to tell how much will be brand new from the trailer but already we can see a different tone from the Whedon version.

Remember, the original plan was for Justice League and Justice League Part II before a family tragedy meant Snyder had to leave the project.

The Whedon version of Justice League was a strange beast. It felt like several different movies cut together. A few high points like Superman’s reappearance and use of the Williams theme were undermined by cheap looking special effects and the feeling that everyone just wanted it to be over as quickly as possible.

Now maybe we understand why, given Whedon’s recent troubles.

Justice League hits HBO Max in March.
