“Data Is Destiny”
While the first two seasons of Westworld were centered around the use of AI and robotics technology within a sort of theme park, HBO’s new teaser turns the spotlight towards a Silicon Valley-esque tech giant, Incite Inc., that will somehow feature in the show’s third season.
The Incite commercial talks about how your data can chart your path and the website for the fictional company, Incite Inc., describes their services as follows:
“The world can feel chaotic: big problems, no solutions, no one to lead the way. Global issues may seem so complex that untangling the answers feels impossible. Here at Incite, we want to make “impossible” a thing of the past. Chaos is merely a pattern waiting to be uncovered. You can help us chart a better future.”
“Powered by our revolutionary strategy engine, we are able to calculate sophisticated solutions to problems large and small, from global climate change to personal career growth. We believe we have a personal responsibility to make the world a better place, starting at home. Here at Incite, your data doesn’t work for us — we work for you.”
Here’s the teaser –
In the video, Incite co-founder and new Westworld character Liam Dempsey Sr. goes on about how his company’s “revolutionary strategy engine” can use data to fix everything, while ominously ending on the note that “your only choice, is us.”
Other than Jefferson Mays, seen here playing Incite co-founder and new Westworld character Liam Dempsey Sr., season three will also add Aaron Paul, Scott Mescudi and Lena Waithe to the cast, and based on previous teasers, the action will take place outside of the park this time around.
Westworld season three is scheduled to hit HBO sometime in 2020, but no specific date has been given yet.
