Hellboy is getting a reboot of the reboot because reboots are so hot right now. This time, Jack Kesy will don the red makeup, the horns, and a wanking hand that is the envy of every teenage boy worldwide.
Compared to Ron Perlman and David Harbour who both previously played Hellboy, Kesy is relatively unknown on the big screen. He had a brief role as Black Tom Cassidy in Deadpool 2 and has appeared in 12 Strong, Baywatch, and The Strain.
Previously reported by Stark last month, Hellboy: The Crooked Man will be based on the 2011 comic miniseries of the same name, which follows Hellboy at an earlier period in his life, set during 1956. It is set in the Appalachian mountains where Hellboy meets a man who in his youth sold his soul to a backwoods demon known as the Crooked Man. They work together to save the man’s soul.
Co-President of Millennium Media, Jonathan Yunger said:
“Jack Kesy is a dynamic actor who has the ability to morph into his roles. His talent and stature are perfect for this younger Hellboy. I was very impressed with him while working together on The Outpost.”
Hellboy: The Crooked Man will be the first film in Millennium’s development slate with German film and TV distributor, Telepool, owned by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.
