Universal Pictures and Amblin have released the full 5-minute opening sequence to the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion.

Jurassic World

This prologue was first shown exclusively in theaters in front of F9 months ago. Partially set 65 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, the preview features dinosaurs that have never been seen in a Jurassic Park movie.

Fast-forwarding to the present day, the footage also shows the pursuit of a T-Rex who shows up while filmgoers attempt to enjoy a movie at a drive-in theater.

The drive-in setup also serves as the backdrop for the new official poster –

Director Colin Trevorrow previously said of the footage:

“Ever since I was a kid, I have wanted to see dinosaurs in their natural habitat. It may have taken a few decades, but with a little help from ILM, Universal and Amblin, it has finally happened. This preview is just a glimpse of the film we’ve made. Jurassic World: Dominion is an epic celebration of everything Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton created, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”

“This sequence was made to be seen on the biggest screen possible. Luckily, IMAX theaters are back, and all over the world we’re returning to theaters because movies bring us closer together. I think we need that shared experience right now … maybe more than we ever have.”

Trevorrow directs Jurassic World: Dominion which comes from a screenplay co-written with Emily Carmichael and a story by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are producing with Alexandra Derbyshire executive producing with Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg.

Jurassic World: Dominion stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum, as well as Mamoudou Athie, Scott Haze, Dichen Lachman, Daniella Pineda, Campbell Scott, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, DeWanda Wise, and BD Wong.
