Movie Gets Its SEVENTH Director
Variety is reporting that Uncharted, Sony’s potentially cursed movie, has hired Ruben Fleischer (Venom) to direct and announced Antonio Banderas will star.

The movie has managed to lose a total of six directors since its announcement back in 2009. Travis Knight (Bumblebee) parted ways back in January. Knight superseded Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), who replaced Shawn Levy (Night At The Museum). And prior to these guys, Seth Gordon, Neil Burger, and David O Russell were all attached at various other stages.
Despite these minor issues, Tom Holland continues to lead the cast as a young Nathan Drake, alongside Mark Wahlberg (who was originally set to play Drake in an earlier draft) is playing Drake’s mentor Sully.
The report also confirms that Oscar-nominated actor Antonio Banderas will star alongside Holland and Wahlberg, with Sophia Ali (Grey’s Anatomy) and Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina) rounding out the currently announced cast.
The Uncharted movie will no longer meet its previously announced December 2020 release date and is now due out in cinemas on 5th March next year.
