It appears so. There’s been a lot of noise on the internet the past few days that has now, apparently, been confirmed: Pedro Pascal is out!

At least that’s what it appears. He’s apparently pissed about having to wear the helmet all the time. Well boo f***ing hoo. He knew this going into the job. I find the lack of honor disturbing.

Grace previously revealed the problems cause a big change halfway through Season 2 which sees the episodes shift away from focusing on Pedro Pascal’s Mando, something Jon Favreau confirms happens, and now Grace reveals it’s because of Pedro Pascal wanting to be seen in the Star Wars series without his helmet on which has led to Pascal and the creative team butting heads….

“But no, the Mandalorian creative team wouldn’t budge on this,” explains Randolph. “So Pedro Pascal, from what I’ve heard from two sources now, was frustrated about this and also was pretty darn uncomfortable in the Mando suit on set. So he became difficult, and the final straw, even though he was difficult to be around on set, the final straw was that he went to Lucasfilm, from what I heard from my sources, to try and get them to intervene on his behalf.”

So Pedro, went over his bosses heads to tell on them. But guess what? They weren’t amused and told him to either deal with it or pound sand. Well, consider the sand pounded.

Pedro doesn’t seem to realize that a decent voice impersonator, and just about anyone in the suit, will work. Okay sure, they have to sell it that it’s the same person, and that means the same little physical ticks that everyone has, but I’m sure with some practice, that can be done. They already run his voice through a modulator when he’s in the helmet.

Those of us who have to deal with 40-hour a week jobs and especially those of us who wish we could have 40-hour a week job thanks to Covid shutdowns, I have no patience for a guy who got a great role, a great paying job and doesn’t appreciate it.

So take a walk Pedro. Off a short pier.
