If you include Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the 7th movie, with another one on the way. You can see why they don’t number them anymore, who wants to see Transformers 7?

I’m not saying the Transformer series has been going on for a long time, but since it started, the word “trans” has lost all meaning. Thank you, I’m here all week.

According to reports, the entire movie is practical without a single shot of CG in it.

So in this trailer, Optimus Prime meets Optimus Primal, I kid you not. Didn’t Prime die in one of the movies? I honestly could tell you a thing about Transformers 2 to Bumblebee, inclusive.

Rise of the Beasts stars Michelle Yeoh, Peter Dinklage, Pete Davidson, Ron Pearlman, Peter Cullen, and David Sobolov, which are all voices, with some actors playing real people like Anthony Ramos and Luna Lauren Velez. It is being directed by Steven Caple Jr, best known for helming Creed II.

It’s thought that Rise of the Beasts is based on the Beast Wars set of Transformer toys, which features the robots turning into mechanical animals and not just planes, trains, and automobiles.

Bumblebee from 2018 was supposed to be a soft reboot for the franchise but didn’t really do all that much at the box office. OK, $450 million is a lot, but they had expected more from it.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is due on 9th June 2023.
