“One Last Time”

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back together in the new Bad Boys For Life trailer, the third chapter of the action-comedy franchise.

Moroccan directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have replaced Michael Bay in the director’s chair. Bay directed Bad Boys (1995) and Bad Boys II (2003) and this movie will make it 17 years since Smith and Lawrence last saddled up.

If they were real cops, the time between Bad Boys and Bad Boys For Life is long enough that they would actually be eligible for retirement now.

Here’s the trailer:

The movie’s official synopsis reads:

“Old-school cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett team up to take down the vicious leader of a Miami drug cartel. Newly created elite team AMMO of the Miami police department along with Mike and Marcus go up against the ruthless Armando Armas.”

Bad Boys For Life adds some fresh faces this time around. Alexander Ludwig (Vikings), Vanessa Hudgens (The Princess Switch), and Charles Melton (Riverdale) play “a modern, highly specialized police unit that collides with the old school Bad Boys (Smith and Lawrence) when a new threat emerges in Miami.”

Bad Boys For Life opens January 17th, 2020.
