The Pogues Frontman Brings The Fury

Magnolia Pictures has released a trailer for Crock Of Gold: A Few Rounds With Shane MacGowan, a new documentary about The Pogues singer.

Directed and produced by Julien Temple, Johnny Depp, Stephen Deuters, and Stephen Malit, Crock Of Gold is set to include new interviews and unseen archive footage, as well as specially commissioned animations from industry icon Ralph Steadman.

According to the press release, the film will map MacGowan’s childhood in Ireland through his years on the punk scene in London, covering –

“MacGowan’s passions, humour, and deep knowledge of music, history, spirituality, and popular culture”

The documentary will feature interviews with Bono, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello, President Michael D. Higgins, Gerry Adams, and more.

According to the documentary’s official website, Crock Of Gold will be in UK cinemas on November 20th, and available on DVD and digital on December 7th.
