Well, well, well! After being away from the role for six years, Matt Berry is bringing back Steven Toast.

The What We Do In the Shadows actor earned Berry a BAFTA in 2015 for his role in the absurdist comedy as Steven Toast. He plays a hapless actor, who takes himself and his craft too seriously as he pays the bills with voiceover work. Surrounded by equally colorful and absurd characters, the show followed Toast dealing with numerous problems off stage, as well as on. It ran from 2013 to 2015.

We are big fans here at the Outpost. It’s borderline juvenile silliness was refreshing while it expertly poked fun at a most ludicrous profession.

BBC One and iPlayer have commissioned Objective Fiction to produce the series. This will follow the eccentric, but breathtakingly arrogant actor crossing the Atlantic and attempting to become a big star in Hollywood. Arthur Matthews will return to executive produce.

We can hear you, Clem Fandango!
