Amazon’s The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power is the most expensive TV show ever made. It is highly anticipated and slightly feared by fans everywhere. The well-loved and widely praised trilogy from Peter Jackson starts to reach its 21st anniversary this year.

That series was unfortunately somewhat negatively impacted by The Hobbit prequel trilogy that felt bloated and overblown, and managed to look cheap despite a huge budget.

So will his TV series add to the majesty of Jackson’s first three movies, or take away from them?

The show draws inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien’s work and is then expected to add to it. It will show Middle-Earth in the Second Age. This was several thousand years before the events of The Lord of the Rings before Sauron used the One Ring to gain power. Given the title, it will likely deal with the creation of the rings.

Now Amazon have released a series of character posters that just hint at the design and weaponry of the various races and major players in the world of Middle-Earth. These have been shared via Imgur.

So far, so Lord Of The Rings. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be here in September 2022 on Amazon Prime.

Here’s hoping it is more Lord Of The Rings and less The Hobbit. Or more Game Of Thrones from HBO and less The Shannara Chronicles from MTV.
