The Overlooked returns to the Last Movie Outpost. This is where we look back at something that you, many of us, heck most of the world missed first time around for some reason. This time it’s Club Paradise.

OK… I know… I fully expect to get raked over the coals for this, but I love Club Paradise. I can’t explain it fully, but I will try in my latest in the Overlooked series right here:

Club Paradise is not great, but for some reason I find it charming. Maybe it’s Peter O’Toole riffing off of Robin Williams, maybe it’s the idea of buying a small home on an island and retiring. Everyone seems to be trying hard and I do enjoy any movie that gathers this much talent together.

It was directed by Harold Ramis and stars Robin Williams, Peter O’Toole, Twiggy, Brian Doyle Murray, Jimmy Cliff, Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, and Adolph Caesar among others. It’s follows the trend of a bunch of mid to late 80’s movies that went tropical for some reason.

I just like it and put it in every once in a while for some dumb light-hearted fun. If you don’t enjoy it… well you probably have better taste than me. But no, I can’t defend it as I do some movies in my other Overlooked videos.
