Just as we declared Star Wars dead, in the wake of the shoddy Obi-Wan Kenobi and underwhelming Book Of Boba Fett, it appears that the single show that gives us hope is back to giving us… hope… again. The Mandalorian is coming back for season three, the trailer leaked online over the past couple of days and it is good.

“Just when you thought you were out…”

The various videos online are in no way official. They were clearly filmed by various audience members during the exclusive presentations at Star Wars Celebration. You will not be surprised to know that these are being ruthlessly hunted down and eliminated online by the ever aggressive Disney. Any links or embeds might not last long. Get them while they are red hot!

We see laser skirmishes on planets, an abandoned Mandalorian helmet, Grogu sitting in Din Djarin’s lap during a huge starfighter battle. We even see what appears to be Babu Frik.

Of course, the audience reacts as you would expect so you’ll have to deal with all the whooping and cheering. Be warned, the quality is awful and several versions are shot over an audience member’s shoulder. If you are remaining pure for the official versions then don’t click. These are not our videos… we just link ’em!

Here is another look:

We see what looks like a Star Destroyer scrapyard and are reminded of the speed of Din’s souped-up Naboo fighter.

Beginning five years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983) and the fall of the Galactic Empire, The Mandalorian follows Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. He was hired by remnant Imperial forces to retrieve the child Grogu, but instead he went on the run to protect the infant. While looking to reunite Grogu with his kind, they were pursued by Moff Gideon, who wanted to use Grogu’s connection to the Force.

In this season the duo will travel to Mandalore so Din Djarin can redeem himself for the transgression of removing his helmet.
