Outposters may be a cynical and twisted bunch who find it hard to care too much about Star Wars anymore, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the world has our elite-level bitterness and world class snark. Many people must be excited enough to consume mnew product, as the trailer for the third season The Mandalorian pulled in a record 83.5 million views in just 24 hours online.
This puts it at the top of the rankings for any trailer debut for a Disney+ Star Wars series.
Also, the kind of people who watch these things over and over and over have noticed a small difference in the US online version. The incredibly focussed fans over at Star Wars Holocron (via the ever-reliable Dark Horizons) have spotted that the date card on the TV version has been replaced online with a shot of some beat up old Star Destroyers in some kind of shipyard.
Already it is speculated that this is Coruscant and not the famed starship manufacturing planet of Corellia.
