Season three of The Mandalorian is nearly upon us, and hopes are high it can join Andor in washing away the taste of Obi-Wan Kenobi. As the marketing ramps up, Lucasfilm has released a new poster and a featurette.
The poster shows the titular Mandalorian Din Djarin in a fairly standard poster pose, astride his new starfighter, with Grogu along for the ride. The darksaber, seen here ignited in his hand, will be a key plot component of the upcoming season, along with his return to Mandalore.
#TheMandalorian and #Grogu's journey continues.

Giancarlo Esposito returns as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, and Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan along with Omid Abtahi, Emily Swallow, and Amy Sedaris. Gina Carano remains out in the cold, locked in Twitter prison.
New faces this time around include Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows in unknown roles. Expect some set-up or links into Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew. The Acolyte is set in a different time period in the galaxy, so likely to remain unreferenced.
Season 3’s directors include familiar faces from earlier seasons such as Rick Famuyiwa, actor Carl Weathers, and Bryce Dallas Howard. Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison step into The Mandalorian for the first time.
Jon Favreau remains as showrunner, despite rumors. He will also direct an episode.
The Mandalorian returns on March 1st on the Disney+ streaming service.
