“Bullock stars as a best-selling romance novelist who ends up kidnapped during her book tour by the villainous billionaire Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe). Fairfax is convinced the secret civilization she wrote about is real, and tasks her with helping him find it.

City girl Loretta ends up in the jungle, forced to team up with her book’s sexy cover model (Tatum). Brad Pitt, Patti Harrison, and Bowen Yang co-star.”

After superhero overload and more Star Wars disappointment maybe I am just ready to go in a different direction? Set a course for fun! It has been 38 years since Romancing The Stone. Paramount has booked a big Superbowl ad slot for this, and has now released that ad early. Check it out.

It was originally called The Lost City Of D. In October 2020 Sandra Bullock was announced and it was confirmed that Aaron and Adam Nee would direct from a Seth Gordon and Dana Fox.

Bullock is serving as a producer under her Fortis Films banner, with Paramount Pictures handling the distribution. In December 2020, Channing Tatum joined the cast of the film followed by Patti Harrison, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Daniel Radcliffe. Brad Pitt and Oscar Nunez were the last to join.

Principal photography began in May 2021 and took place in the Dominican Republic, including Samaná, Santo Domingo, Casa de Campo, Monte Plata Province, and at Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios. Filming wrapped on August 16, 2021.

The Lost City is set to debut at South By Southwest next month before heading to theaters on March 25th.
