There is much speculation, and expectation, in The Flash. Test screening reports have been overwhelmingly positive, and it is also said to serve as the trigger for the ordered end of the DCEU, paving the way for the DCU.
Now Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new plot summary that gives us an idea of how it might achieve this.
Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) arrives in an alternate 2013, where he urgently seeks out the expertise of his friend and mentor Bruce Wayne.
The one he finds in the Multiverse is different on all fronts: older, long-retired from service as Gotham City’s protector, and somehow even more hardened than the billionaire superhero Barry has grown to know. With a global threat on the horizon, Bruce Wayne must decide whether he can become Batman once more.
2013 has been picked as it is the year Man of Steel was released and, therefore, in the DCEU it is the year that Superman was first revealed to the world. This is how Michael Shannon’s General Zod will be a villain however, instead of Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent as Superman, this alternate timeline features Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El – Supergirl.

Ben Affleck does appear in what some leaks claim is a key role. Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, and Kiersey Clemons round out the cast. Also back is Antje Traue, returning as Zod’s right-hand woman Faora.
The Flash will open in cinemas on June 16th, when we will find out exactly how they are going to solve all this.
