Back in the 80’s when everyone was happy and everything was great, well, compared to today, The Fall Guy was one of those TV series that is now looked back on with fond affection.
We reported a little while ago that Ryan Gosling is playing Colt Seavers, the Fall Guy himself, with Emily Blunt and Aaron Taylor-Johnson joining the cast.
The newest member to be added is Winston Duke, best known for playing M’Baku in Black Panther, and the soon-to-be-released Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The original Fall Guy was created by TV legend Glen A. Larson and ran from 1981 to 1986. It was about a Hollywood stuntman that moonlighted as a bounty hunter. The cool thing about the original series was all the practical stunts. No CG back in the day. The story of the new movie sees Gosling as a:
“…battered and past-his-prime stuntman who finds himself back on a movie with the star he worked with long ago and who replaced him. The problem, however, is that the star is now missing.”
The Fall Guy will be directed by David Leitch, known for Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, and Bullet Train. So at least we know there will be a lot of action in the movie.
The Fall Guy is due out in March 2024.
