The upcoming Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett has wrapped filming. The Mandalorian spin-off and major part of the foundation of the new Star Wars televisual universe will star Temuera Morrison reprising his role as Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. They both appeared in The Mandalorian and played a major role in the events of Season 2.
Yesterday Ming-Na Wen posted some images of the shooting wrap gift she received. In a sign of the pandemic, it included latex gloves!

The Book Of Boba Fett is the culmination of many years of effort to get a standalone Boba Fett story to the screen. First, it was to be a standalone movie directed by Josh Trank but that was the victim of Trank’s fall from grace and Lucasfilm’s itchy trigger finger when it comes to directors.
Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, and Kathleen Kennedy executive produce The Book of Boba Fett. Favreau appeared on Good Morning America when the show was announced to clarify that it is entirely separate from The Mandalorian and not just a limited special episode:
“We didn’t want to spoil the surprise during the big Kathleen Kennedy announcement of all the shows, so they let me keep this one a secret, so this is actually separate from The Mandalorian season 3. But what we didn’t say in that announcement is the next show coming up – what Kathy called ‘the next chapter’ – is going to be The Book of Boba Fett, and then we go into production right after that on The Mandalorian, back with the main character that we all know and love… pretty soon following that.”
The Book of Boba Fett is set to premiere on Disney+ in December 2021. Ming-Na Wen has cemented her geek girl and Star Wars credentials as an avowed Star Wars cosplayer.
She recently proved that she knows the way into just about any boy Star Wars fan’s heart by busting out another Princess Leia outfit.
Suddenly we are reminded of a certain episode of Friends.
