With eleven Star Wars projects announced at Disney Investor Day 2020, then another one announced in the post-credit scene of The Mandalorian, plus rumors swirling of the continuing adventures of Grogu and his new mentor, Star Wars can be a bit difficult to keep track of these days.

Now Lucasfilm have created a handy cut out and keep guide to just what the hell is going on.

The trick, of course, is to try and define where the new projects will fit on this timeline. Interestingly one is already included – The Bad Batch – the new animated show based on the adventures of a Stormtrooper unit. This clarifies it is set during the Reign of the Empire. Presumably this means no Clone Troopers then.

Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are working on two new spinoff shows – The Rangers of The New Republic and an Ahsoka Tano show called Ahsoka. Both will be ready around Christmas 2021 and are set in The Mandolorian timeline under The New Republic era. The Book Of Boba Fett will also fit into this timeline.

Andor will be set five years before Rogue One. This places it firmly in the Age Of Rebellion. Kenobi we know will be set 10 years after Revenge Of The Sith, so during the Reign Of The Empire.

Star Wars Visions will create a Star Wars anthology with Japanese anime creators. This will span the entire timeline, while a Lando Calrissian series is expected to follow Solo: A Star Wars Story in the Reign Of The Empire.

The Acolyte will be set in the final days of the High Republic. A Droid Story – the animated feature starring R2-D2 and C-3PO is harder to define given that they are continuous characters throughout the franchise.

Taika Watiti is making a series of feature films in the Star Wars universe but there were no additional details on the Investor Day so we can’t be sure where it will fit. We can guess where Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron will fit – the Age Of Rebellion – but we can’t be 100% sure on this.
