Last year’s Oscars saw Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite making history in a number of top categories, including becoming the first non-English-language movie to win Best Picture. Bong also became the first Korean filmmaker to earn the Best Director prize.

This year, Netflix leads the pack with 35 nominations; last year, it received 24 but walked away with just two wins. This year, the streaming service has two films in the running for best picture: the home-grown Mank and The Trial of the Chicago 7, which it acquired from Paramount Pictures.

Amazon Studios has One Night in Miami in the mix in several Oscars categories, along with Sound of Metal, and received some love for Borat Subsequent Moviefilm in the adapted screenplay and supporting actress (Maria Bakalova) categories.

David Fincher’s Mank, the black-and-white drama starring Oldman as Citizen Kane writer Herman Mankiewicz, leads the overall field with 10 nominations.
