Geezers! Cockneys! Mockneys! Naughty boys and Casuals! Look lively you slags! Jason Statham is going to team-up again with the bloke who gave him his big break. Would you Adam-and-Eve it?
Snatch and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels director Guy Ritchie has set-up an action thriller at Miramax.
The studio has acquired remake rights to a 2004 French film Le Convoyeur from StudioCanal, premier supplier of bonkers Eurotrash featuring dirty looking, stubbled Frenchmen in leather coats smoking Gauloises moodily before chasing somebody in a Renault.
The story follows H, a mysterious character working at a trucking company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.
According to reports, the story moves through:
“…a suspenseful and carefully constructed narrative, the film shifts across timelines and between various characters’ perspectives for a thrilling and mind-bending experience.”
Ah, so like Lock Stock and Snatch then? Ritchie says in a statement:
“I’m looking forward to bringing this story to life and working with Jason while he still has the use of his knees.”
Bill Block and Ivan Atkinson will produce.
