Oh God, there’s a kid! Why is there always a kid? Have they learned nothing? Well, anyway, Lucasfilm has released a brand-new trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch. This brand new animated series will launch on Disney+ on May 4th.
The show will feature The Bad Batch, an experimental series of clones that vary from their more mass-produced brothers. First introduced during Star Wars: The Clone Wars, each member possesses a different skill that makes them a formidable fighting unit. However, they are individualistic and unruly, unlike regular clones.
Dee Bradley Baker will return from The Clone Wars as the voice of all the clone troopers in the series, including the members of The Bad Batch and Captain Rex.
It also revealed that a younger version of the character Fennec Shand from the series The Mandalorian would be appearing in the series. Actress Ming-Na Wen has confirmed that she would reprise her role as Fennec.
Stephen Stanton and Andrew Kishino reprise their roles as Grand Moff Tarkin and Saw Gerrera, respectively.
As The Clone Wars comes to an end the unit finds itself embroiled in a plot that has the potential to impact the entire galaxy and leaves them questioning whose side they should be on.
The new Star Wars show will start with a 70-minute premiere on May 4th, then new episodes will be released every Friday from May 7th. Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, and Jennifer Corbett executive produce.
