Following a premiere during the NFL playoff game between the Bengals and the Bills, Paramount+ released the final trailer for season 3 of Star Trek: Picard online. As we reported over the weekend, the first six episodes have been shared with reviewers and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
The new trailer shows new cast members that have not really been discussed in the noise about the returning cast from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Todd Stashwick will play the captain of the U.S.S. Titan, Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey) is an officer who works alongside Beverly Crusher in medical.
LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner all return. Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd are the only Picard main cast to return alongside Patrick Stewart. According to the press pack:
“A desperate message from a long-lost friend draws Starfleet legend Admiral Jean-Luc Picard into the most daring mission of his life and forces him to recruit allies spanning generations old and new.”
To see if they really have managed to pull off a save here, look out for Picard on Paramount+ in the U.S., Crave in Canada and on Amazon Prime worldwide. It starts on Thursday 16th February and new episodes will stream weekly.
