Shazam: Fury Of The Gods is out in just five days. In the run-up to the release, a new TV spot has been dropping all over broadcast media. Eagle-eyed viewers have spotted something in this TV spot. A cameo from another DC hero.
The original anchored its place in the DCEU with an appearance from Superman, played by a body double for the brief tease.
So who shows up this time? Avast… here be spoilers!

The spot has aired on TV but a quick search online will reveal numerous bootlegs, stills, and commentary videos revealing that the sequel features the return of Gal Gadot in the role of Wonder Woman.
Director David F. Sandberg has now taken to Twitter to warn people of these spoilers:
“Well there’s some big Shazam spoilers out there now. If you want to go in fresh maybe don’t be online or watch tv with ads… Pretty good advice in general actually.”

Patty Jenkins won’t be back to direct a third Wonder Woman movie after new DCU supremos Gunn and Safran refused her the full creative control she had with Wonder Woman 1984 on any new film and needed a rewrite to fit the new DCU. She declined and walked away.
There was speculation Gadot would follow, as the two are known to be very close. Gadot is rumored to also appear in The Flash, despite stories about her cameo being cut. A Wonder Woman figure has been seen in certain promotional material and toys for The Flash.
A Wonder Woman prequel spin-off is planned for Chapter 1 of the DCU – Gods And Monsters – that is titled Paradise Island.
The first movie had an easy, likable charm and didn’t take itself too seriously. Shazam! Fury of the Gods opens in cinemas on March 17th, 2023.
