The Power Of Gere Compels Them

IFC Films has released a new trailer for their upcoming movie Three Christs. The movie is based on a true story about three schizophrenic men, each of whom thinks they are Jesus Christ.

Here’s the trailer –

Starring Richard Gere, Stephen Root, Walton Goggins, and Peter Dinklage, Three Christs takes place in 1959 and follows a psychiatrist by the name of Dr. Alan Stone (Gere) and his paranoid schizophrenic patient (Dinklage) who thinks he is Jesus Christ. Opting not to use electroshock therapy, Dr. Stone instead decides to do what all psychiatrists would do in that moment – experiment on his patients.

Dr. Stone pushes Dinklage’s character to live with two other paranoid schizophrenic characters who apparently believe they’re Jesus Christ, the two played by Whitford and Goggins.

The movie is based on a true story about three schizophrenic men who believed they were all Jesus. In 1959, Dr. Milton Rokeach (the name has been changed in the movie) decided it was time to make some new discoveries in the world of schizophrenia and thought of a very unorthodox way of doing so.

Bradley Whitford, Julianna Margulies, and Charlotte Hope also star in this movie. Three Christs will hit theaters in January, 2020.
