The next Phase of the MCU has been delayed, along with the TV shows for Disney+, by the pandemic close down. However work will have continued behind the scenes on writing, visualization and casting. Speaking of casting, the rumor is out there that Lovecraft Country, The Last Black Man In San Francisco and Da 5 Bloods star Jonathan Majors will be appearing in Ant-Man 3.

What is intriguing is that sources say the role is that of Kang the Conqueror. If so, it feels too big for a one off appearance. In the comics, Kang is a powerful time-traveling villain from the far-future who is tied into the entire Marvel universe via his time-travel. As you will know if you are familiar with the comics he has also got a fairly big connection to the Fantastic Four so could well serve as the spark that brings them to the big screen.

Peyton Reed returns as director, along with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily. Reed said in an interview:

“The third Ant-Man movie is going to be a much bigger, more sprawling movie than the first two. It’s going to have a very different visual template.”

Jonathon Majors will next be seen in The Harder They Fall on Netflix. Breakout, get attached to a mega-franchise, count the $$$. Good work Jonathan and agent!
