Confirmed To Direct At Least One Episode
It’s been confirmed that Robert Rodriguez has directed an undisclosed amount of episodes of the second season of The Mandalorian.
A few months back, there were reports that James Mangold (Ford Vs. Ferrari) and Robert Rodriguez (Alita: Battle Angel) had directed some of the Disney+ series. Mangold used his Twitter account to debunk his involvement.
Hey Ron. I'm so pleased if it's true about Bryce directing another part of Mandalorian, but I can tell you its not true about me. Not doing it, never discussed it. And I suggest fans should look at who's "reporting" this & make a note that these sites present conjecture as fact.

Rodriguez neither confirmed or denied his involvement, but HN Entertainment confirms that Rodriguez has indeed worked on The Mandalorian.
This news comes hot on the heels of Rosario Dawson’s casting confirmation for the second season of The Mandalorian as a live-action version of Ahsoka Tano, the Jedi character from The Clone Wars and Rebels.
Jon Favreau already revealed that he would be directing an episode, and series cast member Carl Weathers got behind the camera as well. Plus, Dave Filoni was confirmed to direct at least one episode when the series wrapped production recently.
The Mandalorian will return on Disney+ starting in October.
