Recently, Netflix and Zack Snyder released some of the concept art of their new movie, Rebel Moon.
At the moment the movie is still in pre-production with shooting to start sometime this year. Snyder has taken to social media to confirm the cast though.

An interesting line up, Charlie Hunnam, Sofia Boutella, Jena Malone, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Staz Nair, Sky Yang, E Duffy and Charlotte Maggi.
It’s nice to see Snyder and Fisher working together again. Fisher was very vocal about how he was treated by Joss Whedon and Warner Brothers. Snyder had to leave Justice League after a family tragedy and Whedon was brought in to finish the movie.
When the Snyder Cut Justice League was released, it restored Fisher’s role and made a big difference to the overall movie. Obviously, Snyder and Fisher were fine working with each other, since they are now back together for Rebel Moon. Not a good look for Whedon.
We will have to wait a while to see what Rebel Moon will be like. It’s an original story written by Snyder, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad. Snyder movies based on other people’s work are pretty good, Watchmen and 300 for example. When he does his own writing it’s not so good. Evidence: Sucker Punch and Army of the Dead.
I’ll bet Joss Whedon will watch Rebel Moon and just sit there moaning about what he would have cut.
