The gilet-wearing assassin strikes again. David Zaslav stalks the halls of Warner Bros. and this time he’s killed something a lot of Outposters raved about. Raised by Wolves has been canceled after two seasons at HBO Max.

The Ridley Scott-produced sci-fi drama told the story of two androids raising human children on a mysterious planet, and the colony of humans being threatened by religious differences.

HBO Max issued a statement confirming this is the case, and that they are not proceeding with the third season of Raised by Wolves. The statement thanks all involved in the show. Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Travis Fimmel, Niamh Algar and Kim Engelbrecht starred.

The show got good reviews both among you Outposters and in the wider world. However, the strong viewing figures of season one did not stick. Season 2 was significantly down, according to reports. The second season finale aired on March 17th and will now be the final episode according to TV Line.

HBO Max’s parent is Warner Bros. Discovery and new CEO David Zaslav has been swinging the axe as he tries to whip the stuttering giant into some kind of shape after a few years of staggeringly bad decision making saw prime properties set on a course for the toilet. Zaslav consulted with both former Disney CEO Bob Iger and former Disney chairman Alan Horn. Expect more changes and cancellations.
