More and more big screen talent is seeing the way the wind is blowing, realising that Beverly Hills tasteless shit palace isn’t going to pay for itself and getting into the streaming game.

The latest to go weekly, while having the good sense to grab himself some of that sweet Marvel lucre, is Owen Wilson.  Wow!

He has joined the cast of the upcoming Marvel and Disney+ series Loki.

The plot is said to feature the trickster, Thor’s brother, as the version from Avengers: Endgame who escaped during the time heist.  This means he is pre: Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok.

He has not yet really started his journey towards simply distrustful rather than evil and is not even close to the version that stood against Thanos on the Asgardian refugee ship.

This scheming, darker version will reportedly be responsible for influencing major events throughout history over the course of the series. Wilson’s character details are a secret. This is the first time he has worked with Marvel. Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino are also attached to star.

Michael Waldron is writer and executive producer.  Kate Herron will direct all the episodes and is also executive producer.  Rumours around the Marvel plan are that both this and WandaVision will tie directly into Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness in May 2021.
