Fantasy Anthology Debuts Next Month

Streaming platform Apple TV+ has released an official trailer for Steven Spielberg’s 1980s anthology series, Amazing Stories.

The official synopsis reads –

“From visionary executive producers Steven Spielberg and Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz, this reimagining of the classic anthology series transports everyday characters into worlds of wonder, possibility, and imagination.”

The upcoming anthology series reboots Spielberg’s 1985 show, which ran for two seasons across 45 episodes. The new series consists of five episodes starring Dylan O’Brien, Victoria Pedretti, Josh Holloway, Sasha Alexander and the late Robert Forster.

Ten episodes were ordered for the initial season, so the five-episode season has yet to be confirmed. Amazing Stories debuts on 6th March.

Adam Horowitz (Tron: Legacy) and Edward Kitsis (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) serve as executive producers and showrunners for series along with The Beard executive producing via his Amblin Television banner.

Spielberg is also gearing up to release his remake of West Side Story, due for release this coming December. The film will star Ansel Elgort as Tony and newcomer Rachel Zegler as Maria, as well as Rita Moreno, who played Anita in the original 1961 film.
