Hey kids! Did you know that today is Disney+ day? It means Jungle Cruise and Shang-Chi And The Legend of The Ten Rings drop on Disney+ for no extra fee. It means there is an offer for new Disney+ subscribers of a reduced rate if you sign up today. It means there should be some trailers, images, or news from new shows. One has leaked already, and it appears to show that an Obi-Wan rematch is confirmed!

Somebody better make sure they have the high ground because it looks as if Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader will meet once more in combat. Vader did say that the last time they met Kenobi was the master. We all thought that meant Mustafar in Revenge Of The Sith, however, we guess they weren’t exactly specific.

A sizzle reel leaked online and was reproduced by all the usual outlets before the mighty Disney legal machine swung into action and pulled it down. However, some concept art showed Obi-Wan vs. Darth Vader going at it once more, with Vader in his full glory.

Deborah Chow, known for helming episodes of The Mandalorian, is directing the show, which gives hope. Hayden Christensen is back as the Jedi-turned-Sith Lord.

Other things shown in the reel for Obi-Wan seemed to confirm the rumor that a lot of the show will focus on the Empire and their hunting down the Jedi who survived Order 66. Reports of Sung Kang portraying an Inquisitor could well be true then.

Chow describes Obi-Wan watching over a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine as just the “starting point” for the series and that it won’t all take place on Tatooine. The Fugitive meets The Incredible Hulk TV show, in space? Fascinating.

Vader will no doubt be obsessed with finding Obi-Wan, probably blaming him for Padme’s death, as well as the obvious. However, do we need them to fight again? Both times were fairly conclusive in either direction. And we know this time has to end in a draw.

Looking at the picture, it could be a red-herring. That could be any Jedi. Maybe it is a scene of Vader personally hunting down another survivor early on to establish this point, reflect what Kenobi told luke in his hut in A New Hope, and establish the power and hatred of Vader?

Obi-Wan is expected on Disney+ in 2022.
