Casting Call For For Twins

According to The Illuminerdi, the upcoming Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series is reportedly casting a young Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.

The report claims that the production is on the hunt for two child actors to play a pair of “precocious” twins, and this being Star Wars, who must surely be Luke and Leia.

The two lead roles are described as –

“(Girl) Caucasian, 8-11 years old, to portray a precocious girl, and (Boy) Caucasian, 8-11 years old, to portray a precocious boy.”

After a rumour began that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series had been cancelled, it was revealed that the show had actually been put on hold while Lucasfilm searched for new writers to replace Hossein Amini, as Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy was unhappy with the scripts. It was then revealed that the show’s planned six-episode run had been cut to four.

Currently, all we know about the story is that the series will follow the titular Jedi Master (played by Ewan McGregor) during his time as “Ben Kenobi” on Tatooine, and will be directed by The Mandalorian and Better Call Saul’s Deborah Chow.

Currently, the show is listed as being in development for Disney+ and has yet to receive a premiere date.
