Series Premiere In July
Netflix is rebooting Unsolved Mysteries, the 80s docuseries that focused on unexplained and spooky cases with an all-new series this July.
The reboot is executive produced by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) and the original creators of Unsolved Mysteries. The 12-part reboot will feature individual episodes focusing on a single mystery, and will not feature a host, a significant change from the original.

According to the press release, the synopsis reads –
“new episodes are rooted in the experiences of ordinary people who have lived the unthinkable — from the trauma of a loved one’s unexplained disappearance or horrific death to the shock of a bizarre paranormal encounter.”
The long-running documentary series aired for 14 seasons between 1987 and 2010 in a few different iterations. Despite the various versions of the program, most think of the 1987-2002 era hosted by Robert Stack and its trippy theme music.
Out of the twelve-episode season, six new episodes of Unsolved Mysteries will premiere on Netflix July 1st.
