Including Matilda And Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
Netflix has revealed that it will be reviving some classic Roald Dahl favourites including Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, The BFG, and Matilda.
Along with a teaser trailer, the streaming giants posted a tweet announcing that Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit) will be taking the controls when it comes to both the Charlie And The Chocolate Factory series it has planned –
These two series are just the beginning – Matilda, The BFG, The Twits, and many other beloved Dahl stories are set to follow soon!

Netflix then confirmed that it was also adding –
“Matilda, The BFG, The Twits, and many other beloved Dahl stories are set to follow soon!”
Netflix has promised that these animated series will –
“remain faithful to the quintessential spirit and tone of Dahl while also building out an imaginative story universe that expands far beyond the pages of the books themselves'”
Roald Dahl’s widow, Felicity said –
“Our mission, which is purposefully lofty, is for as many children as possible around the world to experience the unique magic and positive message of Roald Dahl’s stories.
“This partnership with Netflix marks a significant move toward making that possible and is an incredibly exciting new chapter for the Roald Dahl Story Company. Roald would, I know, be thrilled.”
No release dates have been announced for the new shows yet.
