The full trailer for My Son Hunter has launched and as to be expected it’s causing a whole new level of tantrums, shilling and nervous laughter. After its official debut on Truth Social last week, the trailer has racked up more than 3.5 million cross-platform views to date.
Keeping It Film Related
Like I said when I reported on the teaser, I’m not going to get overly political on a movie website. But I’m confident when I say that a lot of us Outposters likely have a similar worldview, so to go into the entire Hunter’s laptop from hell would be like preaching to the converted.
My Son Hunter is directed by Robert Davi and starring Laurence Fox, Gina Carano and John James. The film centres on Hunter Biden and his seemingly endless list of dodgy business deals, drug abuse and law breaking that have all been covered up by everyone from the White House to the media to even the FBI.
The story is inspired by the investigative reporting of Peter Schweizer who has also written bestsellers called Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich and Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends. Ooh spicy! Schweizer says:
“I’ve investigated corruption for decades, going after Republicans and Democrats, the treatment that the Bidens received compared with the treatment of the Trumps, there’s absolutely no comparison. It’s absolutely the worst that I’ve seen.”
Corn Pop Was A Bad Dude
John James who plays Joe Biden made it clear that what is seen in the trailer is:
“Only the tip of the iceberg.”
He also praised the film’s director Robert Davi (Licensed to Kill, Die Hard, The Goonies), particularly for his attention to detail throughout the film and the style he went for in the shots.
“They say actors make the best directors and good actors make great directors. And he is a fantastic actor. He was all about the detail, the sets, everything had to be right, look right.”
He also explained that Davi asked the director of photography to watch films such as The Godfather and American Hustle for inspiration. For me the trailer certainly gives off a low budget Wolf Of Wall Street vibe.
I’m not being disrespectful when I say that, because My Son Hunter had a budget of less than $3m compared to Wolf Of Wall Street’s budget of $100m. So to pull off the same look and feel on a shoestring budget is impressive.
Total Damage Control
As you can imagine this has certain parts of the political spectrum and the media reaching new levels of panic and damage control. Many other entertainment websites are already aligned to the big corporate machine and have dutifully plugged themselves into the hive mind.
Mother Jones says:
“The film, a febrile fictionalization of the many Hunter Biden conspiracy theories. I guess this is the sinister underbelly that far-right types have feverishly imagined for years. Pass the popcorn, and then the vomit bag.”
The Daily Beast says:
“Kremlin TV is promoting this film so aggressively you’d think Vladimir Putin himself had a hand in making it.”
The Mary Sue says the film gives them a Goodfellas and I, Tonya feel but:
“My Son Hunter seems to be a straight up pathetic parody of itself trying to make a movie of that caliber.”
Low Hanging Fruit
As expected, the people who still use Twitter are going after Gina Carano. Comments from the #BeKind crew range from Gina’s physical appearance to her apparent fall from grace.
Panic Stations
Mark Zuckerberg’s recent revelation to Joe Rogan was that the FBI “requested” Facebook limit the exposure of Hunter Biden’s laptop during the run up to the 2020 Presidential election. Only 38% of American’s approve of Joe Biden’s job performance and the midterms approaching, you can guarantee the Democrats are definitely not concerned about this at all…
