Which Muppet’s Line Is It Anyway?

The Muppets are going improv. Disney+ has released the official trailer for Muppets Now which will be an unscripted original series on the streamer from July 31st.

It’s a short and sweet six episodes long and will feature all the usual crew including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. As usual they will be joined by celebrity guest stars which will include RuPaul and Seth Rogen. The show will revolve around improv comedy without staged gags.

Once the core theme of each episode is set then the cast will improvise from there. The first episode will feature Scooter being tasked with uploading the new Muppet show to the streamer. Of course there will be complications, and hopefully hilarity will ensue.

This is the first new Muppet show since their ABC series was unceremoniously cancelled. A 2019 attempt to bring the Muppets to Disney+ also failed due to a clash of vision between Disney brass and writer/executive producer Josh Gad (Frozen) and Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis.
