John Williams is returning to the Star Wars franchise to write the main character theme for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now there are rumors of some other old faces showing up, this time in front of the camera.

Potential Spoilers For Obi-Wan Kenobi

If you are trying to remain a cleanskin for Obi-Wan Kenobi, unsullied by rumor and spoiler, then turn away now and maintain your Kenobi virtue and virginity. If not… we have such sights to show you.

Making Star Wars says that Jimmy Smits will reprise his role as Senator Bail Organa in the series. The Alderaan leader is the adoptive father of Princess Leia Organa. He knows the truth about the Skywalker children and that Kenobi and Yoda survived Order 66. He knows where they both are.

Bail Organa

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a limited series and Ewan McGregor is returning alongside Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. The show will take place ten years after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, and therefore about seven years before Rogue One.

We always assumed that Kenobi spent his entire life post-Episode III in exile on Tatooine, watching over Luke Skywalker from a distance. Not so, as apparently this is where Bail Organa and another returning face enter the fray.

Now, you know the drill by now. Unsubstantiated rumors on the internet get one of these, as we can’t vouch for their veracity.

The latest rumor surrounding the show teases that the inclusion of Smits as Bail Organa is the trigger for the inclusion of a really big Star Wars character – Princess Leia Organa herself.

Obi-Wan will end up on an important mission to rescue Leia after she finds herself in trouble at only 10 years old. She’s said to be being held a prisoner at a Cantina-like establishment.

So this could be how it works:

Organa seeks out his old friend, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, for help getting his adopted daughter back from whoever has her as a prisoner. Kenobi traveling off Tatooine puts him back on the radar of the Empire, who perhaps considered him dead.

So the chase is on, with the Grand Inquisitor (rumored to be Rupert Friend) hunting him down under the direction of Darth Vader, while Kenobi tries to stay one step ahead of them and track down the kidnapped Leia.

Princess Leia

Old Star Wars hands point out that this is feasible, as her childhood on Alderaan is not widely covered in old, or new EU material. The Star Wars #33 comic does mention her disappearing for a week from the Royal Palace on Alderaan as a child, but she said to have run away from home.

As always, until this unfolds in front of us on-screen or we get casting confirmation of ten-year-old Leia, then this remains an unsubstantiated rumor.
