It seems like Wells, Somerset is a popular place to film, it’s where the famous shoot out happens at the end of Hot Fuzz and it’s now the set of the new Dungeons & Dragons movie, which is filming at the cathedral there.
Michelle Rodriguez has been seen on set, wearing a reflective visor, a multicoloured silk robe, brown trousers and long boots. I know the photos aren’t great, but according to the Daily Mail, they are her, but it is the Mail, so it might be anyone.
Also on the Dungeons & Dragons set is 12-year-old actress Chloe Coleman, who was seen wearing a blue and gold dress as she left the cathedral set. Several other actors, in elaborate silver armour, have been seen.
Matthew Minter, the events manager at Wells Cathedral said they could not comment extensively on the nature of the filming to take place due to signed non-disclosure agreements. He said:
“I can’t really say a great deal other than that George fought one of these animals and killed it and if you’re very naughty you get locked up in a dungeon – that’s about as cryptic as I’ll be.”
The cast, at the moment, is confirmed as Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Daisy Head, Hugh Grant, Sophia Lillis and Chloe Coleman.
The Dungeons & Dragons plot is still closely under wraps at the moment and no other cast members have been seen at the moment, however, the film-making duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are attached as directors and writers.
The pair were co-screenwriters for the black comedy Horrible Bosses (2011) and co-writers for the Marvel superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) alongside other screenwriters.
There are more photos from the set, which can be seen on the MSN News site.
This new version of Dungeons & Dragons is set for release in March 2023.
