According to Deadline this morning Oscar Isaac is attached to play Solid Snake in the movie adaptation of Metal Gear Solid at Sony Pictures.

The video games were a smash-hit. Originally created by Hideo Kojima and releassed by Konami, they were the first game to put a real focus on stealth and tactics in what was previously an area defined by exploisive action and shooting.

The first edition came out in 1998 and allowed you to play Snake, an infiltration expert soldier who had to get into a nuclear facility to take down Foxhound, a mercenary special forces unit.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island) will direct a script by Derek Connolly. Notorious producer Avi Arad is putting on the show. First Isaac has to find time for Moon Knight on Disney+, among other things.
