Marvel Studios has another Disney+ series ready to go. Hawkeye will start streaming on Disney+ from November 24th. and now a teaser trailer and a poster have been released.
Seemingly set post-Avengers: Endgame and after the blip, Clint Barton wants to get back to his family in time for Christmas. Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a superhero, gets involved as the two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past makes itself known and threatens their holiday plans… and even more.
Jeremy Renner returns as Clint Barton/Hawkeye with Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez round out the cast.
Rhys Thomas and duo Bert and Bertie will helm the season between them. Here is the Hawkeye trailer.
Katie Mathewson and Tanner Bean serve as writers on the series. Feige has previously said the series would follow Barton as he teaches Bishop to be a “superhero without superpowers”, and would explore more of Barton’s time as the vigilante Ronin that was first shown in Avengers: Endgame.
In October 2019, executive producer Trinh Tran said that the series would explore Barton’s past.
Hawkeye is influenced by Matt Fraction’s run with the character in the comics. The series features Lucky the Pizza Dog, a golden retriever who is a companion to Barton and Bishop, and set photos showed Barton with a hearing aid, indicating his hearing loss would be explored in the series.
