We’re now in a time that anything Trump touches is apparently turned to ash. He’s also been removed from just about everything from the internet social media wise. So of course fringe fans of the movie Home Alone 2 are “petitioning” to have Trump removed.
Trump has a small cameo appearance in the 1992 movie. Culkin runs into Trump at the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned from 1988 before selling it in 1995. He asks Trump (a passerby) for directions to the lobby and Trump obliges. That’s it!
Seeing Trump apparently lives rent free in the heads of these fringe people, it makes sense they’d go about doing this. It was started by someone with pronouns in their profile on Twitter, so you know they’re serious about it.

Macaulay Culkin responded in support of this saying “Sold,” but at first glance it seemed maybe he did more so of finding it humorous that the person wants to replace Trump is a “40-year-old Macaulay Culkin.”

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as someone else posted an edited version of the scene with Trump either not suppose to be there or in the Predators cloaking device. In which Macaulay Culkin again replied “Bravo.”

Home Alone 2 director Chris Columbus said last year, that Trump would only allow them to film in the hotel, if he was able to make an appearance.
When speaking with Insider:

“Like most locations in New York City, you just pay a fee and you are allowed to shoot in that location. We approached The Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time, because we wanted to shoot in the lobby.

We paid the fee, but he also said, ‘The only way you can use the Plaza is if I’m in the movie’.

So we agreed to put him in the movie, and when we screened it for the first time the oddest thing happened: People cheered when Trump showed up on screen.

So, I said to my editor, ‘Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience’.”

That’s probably because Trump wasn’t seen as a pariah, until he ran for President. Trump himself speaks highly of his appearance in Home Alone 2.

“Well, I’m in Home Alone 2.

A lot of people mention it every year, especially around Christmas. They say, especially young kids, they say, ‘I just saw you on the movie’.

They don’t see me on television as they do in the movie. But it’s been a good movie and I was a little younger, to put it mildly. And it was an honour to do it.”

And it turned out to be a very big hit, obviously. It’s a big Christmas hit — one of the biggest. So, it’s an honour to be involved in something like that, you always like to see success.”

Say what you will about Trump, it’s really sad to see people this venomous. To be so obsessed and hateful, to want him digitally removed from a five second cameo seems ridiculous.
