We are still a week and a half away from the premiere of Loki on Disney+, but the Disney marketing machine is in full throttle.

Loki

Loki, the third MCU series to be released this year after WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, follows Tom Hiddletone’s character after the events of Avengers: Endgame, when the 2012 version of the character uses the Space Stone to escape imprisonment.

Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority after traveling through time altering human history but finds himself trapped in a crime thriller of his own making.

Nonetheless, he ends up landing in yet another form of incarceration when the TVA, an organization that monitors the timeline, picks him up and demands that he helps fix the disruption he’s caused.

In the following teaser “Clock,” Loki’s time for glory is now… but the clock keeps ticking and time waits for no man- or god.

The brief synopsis for Loki reads:

“Loki — the imperious God of Mischief — who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority)”

Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer.

The series will consist of six episodes and will fit into Phase 4 of the MCU. A second season is in development.
