When Ahsoka mentioned Grand Admiral Thrawn in the last season of The Mandalorian, Star Wars fandom was sent into a spin. This meant the various extended universes were to be allowed to collide with Disney Star Wars and opened the door to any number of well-liked characters to appear.

Immediately speculation began about another character making the transition to Disney+, Ezra Bridger.

Now Aladdin actor Mena Massoud has added to speculation with a cryptic social media post. Nothing has been confirmed by Disney, Lucasfilm, or the actor himself but in a post from a photoshoot he was on he included the quote:

“Hey, just so you know, when I escape I won’t hurt any of you.”

A strange quote. Immediately fans noted this is a line said by Ezra Bridger himself in an episode of Star Wars Rebels and is highly unlikely to be a coincidence.

Meanwhile, the Star Wars bounty on Disney+ continues to grow as a major new tranche of goodies will appear on the streamer in April. Mostly these are little-known, or little-seen oddities in the Star Wars universe.

First up are the two Ewok movies. These were made-for-TV movies and set on Endor. 1984’s¬†Caravan Of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, was followed by a sequel, Ewoks: The Battle Of Endor, in 1985. Largely forgotten and not considered canon, they will be joined on the service by the animated Ewoks show from 1985. Both seasons will be available from April 2nd.

Genndy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars animated shorts will also arrive. The 2D series from 2003 was somewhat lost under the weight of the 2008 CGI series. They were always highly regarded by fans but mysteriously absent from streaming until now.

Now hold on to your butts, as one of the most infamous episodes in the franchise history is acknowledged for the first time. The Star Wars Holiday Special has been effectively wiped from existence in shame. It is likely that it will never, ever be shown on Disney+ in its entirety. However an animated segment РThe Story Of The Faithful Wookieeis coming to the streaming service. Bootleg copies have been around for years but this is only the second time they have been officially released.

This is significant as this is where bounty hunter Boba Fett made his debut, years before The Empire Strikes Back. This is Star Wars history.
