It’s a big trailer day out there in Entertainment Land. Lots dropping right now. More to come later. First up is NBCs Quantum Leap revival.
The much-loved 1990s show has been the subject of reboot and relaunch efforts for years. This new series takes place thirty years after Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) stepped into the accelerator and vanished. A new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and what happened to its creator.
Raymond Lee is physicist Dr. Ben Seong, who soon finds himself Quantum Leaping into the bodies of different people in history. Caitlin Bassett, Nanrisa Lee, Mason Alexander Park, and Ernie Hudson co-star. The show will debut on September 19th.
Another big blast from the past getting he remake treatment is Interview With The Vampire from AMC. This also has a full trailer. This is a TV series adaptation of the famous Lestat de Lioncourt novels by Anne Rice. This was previously a movie starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.
This stars Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe, Sam Reid as Lestat, and Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy. AMC has the rights to the whole series of books so this is a potential long-term gig for Reid if the show is a success.
Interview With The Vampire will debut on AMC and AMC+ on October 2nd.
