Keep flogging that horse, HBO. Flog it good and hard! HBO won’t be letting go of Game Of Thrones any time soon. After all, they have to atone, in the eyes of some fans, for that finale. According to The Hollywood Reporter a new show is coming.

They have started early development on the first sequel to Game of Thrones and it is rumored it will focus on the character of Jon Snow. Kit Harington will reportedly reprise the role if it moves forward. Harington earned two Emmy nominations for his portrayal of Aegon Targaryen, true air to the Iron Throne who had been raised as bastard Jon Snow.

In the series finale he was forced to kill his lover, and also his aunt, Daenerys Targaryen as she proved absolutely every theory about the hot/crazy scale absolutely correct.

As a result he exiled from Westeros and journeyed North of the Wall to live with Wildlings, leaving everything behind. No word yet on the story the new series will aim to tell, or if other surviving characters from the War For The Throne will appear.

Harington appeared in Eternals for Marvel and has been mostly fousing on stage work. The Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, debuts on HBO Max on August 21st.
