That name’s Boy. Soy Boy. It seems Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels are now undergoing a round of edits and censorship to accommodate “21st-century sensitivities”.
Hot on the heels of Roald Dahl‘s books being censored by the Wokezis in order to not hurt their fee-fees with mean words, it now appears James Bond is about to be shaken and not stirred.

The books are set to be re-released in April to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Casino Royale, the first Bond novel. However, Ian Fleming Publications, the company that owns the literary rights to his work, have commissioned a review by “sensitivity readers.”
The new texts will contain a disclaimer that makes it clear they’ve been updated to (apparently) reflect changing attitudes in society. Their doublespeak is as follows:
“This book was written at a time when terms and attitudes which might be considered offensive by modern readers were commonplace. A number of updates have been made in this edition while keeping as close as possible to the original text and the period in which it is set.”

The Live And Let Censor
A commonly used pejorative term used for Black people by Fleming – the “N-word” has been removed almost entirely and replaced with “Black person” or “Black man.” In books like Thunderball, Quantum of Solace and Goldfinger references to ethnicities have been removed altogether.
In Live and Let Die, Bond’s opinion of Africans in the gold and diamond trades as “pretty law-abiding chaps I should have thought, except when they’ve drunk too much” has been altered to “pretty law-abiding chaps I should have thought.”
Another example is a section of Live and Let Die that described a striptease in Harlem with “Bond could hear the audience panting and grunting like pigs at the trough,” and changed the wording to, “Bond could sense the electric tension in the room.”
The edits to the U.S. edition of Live and Let Die were authorized by Fleming himself before his death in 1964. Ian Fleming Publications told The Telegraph:
“We at Ian Fleming Publications reviewed the text of the original Bond books and decided our best course of action was to follow Ian’s lead. We have made changes to ‘Live and Let Die’ that he himself authorized.”
Note that there is no reference to Fleming authorizing the other edits from other books though. As per usual with these people, you give them an inch and they take a yard, actually, they just take the piss – as we say in the UK.

Roald Dahl Updates
Facing the enormous backlash over the censorship of Roald Dahl’s books, Puffin UK has announced they are to release Roald Dahl’s books without any changes.
The classic collection will sit alongside the newly-released books which have been rewritten to cater to the thin-skinned, weak-minded, patheticness of some modern audiences. Francesca Dow, MD of Penguin Random House Children’s said:
“We’ve listened to the debate over the past week which has reaffirmed the extraordinary power of Roald Dahl’s books and the very real questions around how stories from another era can be kept relevant for each new generation.
We also recognise the importance of keeping Dahl’s classic texts in print. By making both Puffin and Penguin versions available, we are offering readers the choice to decide how they experience Roald Dahl’s magical, marvellous stories.”
I’ve always said it, the Wokezis are nothing more than bullies. And bullies will continually push and harass you and every given opportunity until you finally make a stand and fight back. It looks like people are finally starting to realize this.

Anyway, back to Bond. If you like a good read, I urge you to check out Stark’s Fleming Revisited articles as he lovingly re-read and reviewed each of Ian Fleming’s original novels in turn. Check out the first, Casino Royale here.
