For Young Sir’s Pleasure
Minecraft is opening up 10 Educational Worlds packs free in its Minecraft Marketplace, now parents can assign these to their kids as part of their daily learning routine.
Schools around the world are doing what they can to provide online lessons for the half-billion kids who are out of school due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is not an easy task and we want to do our part to help keep young minds sharp and stimulated.
These free Minecraft educational packs can be accessed through a Minecraft account from, and the virtual spaces you can visit include Washington, D.C. to Mount Olympus to the International Space Station.
There are also lesson plans attached to these spaces including puzzles, creative writing activities and challenges relating to each space or building. There’s even guidance on how to use them as part of a remote learning program.
This morning my kid and I learned the Iwo Jima Memorial canteen would hold 8 gallons of water, and that there is only one Da Vinci painting in the USA. Believe me, if you have kids in primary/elementary schools, or just enjoy immersing yourself in Minecraft, this stuff is great.
