A few of the genre streaming platforms, including the speciality horror streaming platform Shudder, are offering isolation treats over the next few weeks to new subscribers.

Shudder, Acorn TV, and Magnolia Pictures’ genre channel DOX are offering discounts to new subscribers during the coronavirus pandemic. Both Shudder and Acorn TV are offering extended free trials, while DOX is 50% off for new subscribers.

Shudder is home to a sweet collection of horror, thriller and supernatural titles from iconic slashers such as John Carpenter’s Halloween to werewolf flick Ginger Snaps. The service also has a choice of series including AMC’s NOS4A2 and Channel Zero, as well as original Creepshow.

Sundance Now also features an extensive choice of titles, and if you visit the Sundance Now website, use the code “SUNDANCENOW30” to begin their extended 30-day free trial.

Shudder isn’t the only one hoping to alleviate viewers from their boredom, as Disney released Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker early on Digital HD while Universal Pictures announced it will make a number new releases available to rent On Demand as to prevent viewers from visiting crowded movie theaters.
